Grout is a cement product with color additives. Color can change with time from minerals in water, cleaning products and from exposure to dirt and dust. Note: If a tile or any of the grout is replaced after the original installation there is no guarantee that the new grout will match the existing grout; it may dry lighter, darker or mottled.

Care and cleaning of grout is considered homeowner maintenance and must be repaired or replaced as necessary.

Grout and repair instructions may be obtained at most home improvement stores. Both sanded and non-sanded grouts are porous materials and therefore subject to staining. If you desire to seal your grout, we suggest contacting a professional for assistance. Although sealing can reduce the grout from staining, it does not make it stain proof. It can also change the color slightly making grout repairs difficult, or impossible to match color.
